Let us try to place the subject within a historical perspective. Over the past weeks, comments made by a couple of persons who must have had their own reasons to offer us their thoughts about the need or otherwise of having an Opera House as part of our arts' scene has brought to my mind a number of reflections about what should be happening on the site of the Opera House ruins.
